| After more than three years at News 12, Jason identified the need Long Island school districts, especially, had for more personalized public relations programs then they were being offered by large public relations companies. Jason Belkin Public Relations was formed to offer school districts, educational organizations, non-profit organizations, and small businesses an alternative to these impersonal "cookie-cutter" firms. |

Since then, Jason Belkin Public Relations has produced award-winning publications, calendars, budget and bond issue materials, and advertising campaigns for dozens of clients. The company has also planned successful media events and designed Web sites. | ![]() |

Today, the company's yearly sales are in excess of $1 million. Celebrity clientele have included everyone from Richard Gere and Martha Stewart to Kid Rock and Tara Reid. Even former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani has stopped in. |

Jason's interest in educational journalism and the media began in high school when he became the first student to have his own weekly column ("For Your Information: East Rockaway Public Schools") published in the local newspaper. The column ran for more than three years -until he graduated! He is also proud of another "first". In 1992, Jason became the youngest manager for the McDonald's Corporation on Long Island. He worked for McDonald's for the four years he attended NYU and even graduated from the Long Island branch of Hamburger University. Jason is a member of the New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA) and the Long Island School Public Relations Association (LISPRA), as well as a lifetime member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the Journalism Honor Society, and the New York ASPCA. Jason is also a contributing writer for Hamptons View, an online magazine by Hamptons Online. Currently the Public Information Officer and spokesperson for the Town of Huntington, Jason lives in Westhampton Beach with his wife Theresa. |
